I have never fished any of the oxbows on the AR river, but as soon as the White gets below 20ft. at Clarendon the oxbows around Devalls Bluff get pretty good if the water isn't too muddy!

At my cabin thats on a oxbox off the White out side of Des Arc the river was still in it as late as a week and a half ago. I would think that this year will be great if we can the river out soon because all of the lakes have been revitalized by the floods last year and again this year. Off topic...Sorry dont know much about around Little Rock off of Arkansas.

I live on one of the oxbows (mound pond or mound lake) and they aren't biting just yet. Last weekend, water temps were around 50, and that was before the snow & cold north wind. Mound pond is very shallow, and it cools off & heats up quickly, (lots of fluctuation). I would suspect that it will only be a couple of weeks till they turn on.
