I'm not asking for your secret spot or gps cord. but what can I do to make my day a little better. Blue thunder is my favorite jig along with blue and white slab slayers but they didn't want today. Thanks for the help.
I have been fishing in the deeper water in Connerly, like you were saying the shallow water seem to have the smaller crappie. With the cool weather they will stay in the deeper water a while longer, just watch your depthfinder for structure and they will be there, usually 6-8 ft deep, in 8-10 ft of water. Where you have been catching them in 8-9 ft. should be good again with the cold weather. Even when it starts warming up again, and the water temp is approaching 60 and the males move up shallow, the females are still going to stay deeper staging at 5-7 ft. I usually keep targeting them until it's warm enough for them to go shallow and spawn.
