    Default Caught a few today

Went to a local strip pit today wind was rough. I caught 4 good crappie and 18 LM bass. The crappie were about 13- 14" . I kept the 4 crappie and 10 of the bass for a hard up nieghbor. He told me he wanted a mess f fish and they didnt have to be crappie. When they start biteing better I hope to fill my freezer with crappie. Sorry no pics...rain moved in when I got to the house.
Was that a bite? Forgot what they feel like!

Well unfortunately I am laid off from work until April I would like to be working and bringing home a real check. Unemployment is ruff. I was raised on a Diary farm and have been working since I was 12. I am doing odd jobs and drawing on my unemployment to make things meet. The only plus side is that I have lots of fishing time. But sooner or later the fishing fund is gonna run out. I hope I can get in a mess of crappie before I go back to work or go broke first :o

Hate to hear that you were laid off, hope you do get to go back in April. I had to draw worker comp for about 3 months a couple years ago so I know about the half pay.
