    Default Cover for fish

This is my first time to post anything im a newbe. I'll start by saying hello from New Orleans. I have a question about a pond we have on some land in SW Arkansas. We want to put some ceder trees in for cover and want to know the best place to drop them. There is a drop off from about 10ft to about 25ft in the middle, pond is about 15 to 17 acers and was built in the 1950s. We catch crappie and there 14 to 16 in long but we don't catch consistant. The pond is full of Bass of all sizes. Maby the Bass have taken over. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like I should come over there and see first hand. Bamboo condos should do the trick.

Put cover at all different levels to keep them happy year around. Bamboo Crappie Condos - FISH HABITAT - are a lot easier to fish around, will last just as long and are a lot easier to work with than cedars. Crappie will get on Bamboo the next day but it takes a while for them to pile in a fresh cedar trees.
