Default My spot and pic from Gold Creek,Lake Conway

Here is a mess of two pounders caught on 1-30-09. Also fished gold creek on 2-2-09 and caught 16 more slabs. Here is the exact spot to fish for these fish. Launch at Danos on Gold Creek follow boat trail west up creek as soon as you go under the 365 bridge you will notice a small cove to your right running along the road. Troll in and stay as close to road grassline as possible. When you are about halfway into the cove anchor down the boat. If you troll down the cove in the middle youll spook the fish. Now saturate the area with a 1/32 oz jig white and chart tube and bobber set at about 2 ft deep and hang on because i aint catching many small ones here. Work jig with very very slow retieve or just let the wind move the bobber. This spot can only support about two or three boats so please be courtious if someones already in there. Hope you catch a good one here. Ill try to get a pic of second batch for you soon.

Beautiful fish. I need to find some like that in Ouachita. They are all deep (relatively) and scattered...but Spring's a-comin'. Water temp here is 44 degrees in the west end and a couple degrees warmer around Mountain Harbor.

    Default CrappieBoy

To all who may read this. I dont know Crappieboy, never met him, and after reading his slander in this post. I dont want to meet him. So please take your silly games elsewhere. The report is accurate. Try this spot if you fish Gold Creek its put some real monsters in the boat for me over the years. The water on gold creek has been dropping, so you may want to fish this spot about 18 inches with your jig and bobber right now. If the water is up you can go a little deeper and also try the back of the cove. Good Luck and let me know if you get a good one here. Crappie Pro
