If you watch Ebay you can find the Eagle 320 for around 120...and the Eagle 480 around 160. I have had 5 320's on various boats and have loved them. I do not think you can buy a better fishfinder on a budget than you can with the Eagles. IMHO.
"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15
I just bought a new in the box Humminbird 717 on e-bay shipped for 138.00
I may get laughed off the board, but I use a Hummigbird Fishing Buddy 120 ($169 full retail). It's portable and clamps to the side of the boat, is battery operated, and has a side sonar-it has water temp as well. You can take it with you from boat to boat and works VERY well. I wouldn't trade mine. Good luck!
Gotta love it!
If you are a serious crappie fisherman, go back in time some twenty five years ago and get (find) you a Lowrance Silent Thirty Fish Finder (Flasher) unit. I have a Skeeter bass rig that came with these new Lowrance Sonar gadget's. My first bass rig in late 1970's had the Lowrance Flasher units with a 20 degree cone angle. Also had one of those Lowrance Graphs unit with the roll of paper. Some here may remember those units. When I fished on Lake Greeson, Nimrod, and others lake in Arkansas for crappie, I used the flashers. I'm like most fishermen, I thought I had to have the latest sonar units out there. I realized these units are find, and you all may think I'm a little off beam here, but when I want to locate crappie I want the flasher.
Reason: With the new sonars units, the unit usual have a 20 degree cone angle. If you are in 20 feet of water the cone is only registering about 4 feet of the lake bottom. By the time you see any brush piles or stumps on these new units, the boat has passed the area some three to five feet. With the old flashers, you get an instant reading.
When you find one of those old flashers on ebay, it goes at a good price. There's one listed on ebay now going at $102.00
thanks for all the replies, now im even more confused on what to get LOL just kiddin, i will check ebay out, again thx
