    Default Corps Lakes

Very interesting thread on the main board that has a direct implication on us here in Arkansas - http://www.crappie.com/crappie/main-...rps-lakes.html Make sure you click on the link in the article and read Chris Horton's letter to Colonel Jackson.

THis will affect all fisherman in the future. If marina owners can get this passed with out input from all people involved including the State game and Fish. How do we know it wont carry over into other lakes and private dock owners???

It is already law on Greers. It is a shame that I pay what I do for a slip each year and can not fish off my boat when it is docked.

I have a place on a small lake in Saline Co. and if I can't fish the docks on them big lakes then why should anyone be able to fish around my dock? They may take all my stuff. They need to keep back. They get baits wrapped around my power lines, hooks in the dock lines, might even catch my fish. You know, the ones I feed.

I don't care if other fish my dock. I go down and talk to them. See what they are catchin and what they're using and such.

Why question is, why do people fish these docks? They must be catchin fish off of them if it is that big of dill. So why?

Something in deep water to hang around? We have found out that for bass fishin (and crappie) that beatin the banks as we call it, only works a little bit of the time. Maybe we could talk the them into making a dill with us/BASS.
We stay out of the boat storage places and they put in deep water brush piles, rock piles. Get the AR Game and Fish guys to do a study on find out why fish like these places. Maybe cuz they are in deep water? And can move up and down with the lake levels. Not get left on the ground when the water goes down.

Does that law mean everybody even the owners or just the fisherman fishing down the bank???

Crap does that mean if I'm fishing down a bank and come up on tree laying in the water I got to go around without fishing it,Crap.

Maybe start throwing only those red'neck fishing lures around those kind of places j/k.

Can we build floating docks what can float anywhere on those lakes?? and loadem back up and takem home??

Anyone voting for it should be voted out of office peroid, all tho if think about it alot of oxbows are now blocked from the public.

Going to post a sign on my lot no bill collecting allowed, will sue if cought on said land.

Sounds like too many pencil pushers with too much time on their hands thinking up more rules.....when they should be out there fishing with the rest of us!

    Default corps lakes

In Kansas at Pomona lake you can not fish around the docks at the marina.
If you do they will run you off. And if you keep doing it you will get a fine.
I have talk to the corps people and they said that was the agreement before
they would put a marina on the lake. It is a bounch of bull but that is they way it is.
