Bought a used Lowe boat the kind were the seats sets down low in the boat.In the front it has a small platform to step on,then steps down onto another platform with seat and another step down is the live well and behind it is another seat.Looks like it would make a good pan fishing boat.Someone has put turf as carpet,I'm replacing with indoor/outdoor.I would like to figure out a way to put a cooler where the fisrt platform is,in fornt of the first seat.I would also like to do away with the live well,although it would make a good platform for a seat.I guess I could put the T.M. battery in the live well to keep it out the way.It doesn't look like there is any safe spot to lay your rods while fishing,I like 5/6 rods laying handy.

Anybody have any easy ideals on how to place rods in this kind of boat?

I make my own out of pvc pipe, using pipe, elbows and T,s.---My side railing on my boat is alumium also so anchoring them is no big deal. I use about 1 1/4 inch pipe and 4 way T,s, just big enough for the handle to fit in snug. I drill a small hole in the T on each side to adjust the angle and just put a pin in it to prevent it from moving.

Some may disagree but live wells for fish and bait are no good in the summer--I took mine out. I use fish baskets over the side and stro-foam coolers for minnows while in boat. I also use a stro-foam floating minnow basket with wire mesh around it.
