I have never fished CC and know it will take time to get tuned up to the lake. I was thinking of trying CC this weekend but may have to stick to Lake Monticello. A couple of fella's from Farmerville, La were at Monticello Lake today trolling 300's and brung in a couple of 17.5" slabs. I had to wonder why they would leave Darbonne right now to come to Arkansas on a hunch....... Anyway, thanks for the info as it is much appreciated.
Sounds like you came by sometime between 9:00 and 12:00. It looked like a parade of boats around 9 this am. But, you said this afternoon, so several must have showed up after I left at 2:30. There was only 2 other boats on the water (actually a boat and 1/2. I think Lucky's boat will fit in the extended cab part of his truck :D however it will definately haul in a mess of slabs!)

Wish you could have made it to Darbonne for the gathering, we had a great time and caught a lots of fish. That is a great bunch of guys down there. I'm going to have to get back down there soon, it was good fishing.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.
