Thread: Beck's Reservoir close to Stuttgart

Just wondering if anyone has any info on Beck's Reservoir between Humnoke and Stuttgart on Hwy 165.

I used to fish there a long time ago and it was full of big slabs and big bass.

I remember going to a house closeby to pay $3 per person to fish there.
I have tried to locate the house now but cannot find it.

The sign says you have to pay to fish but doesn't tell you where to pay.

I drive by there when I am working and sometimes there is a locked cable across the access and sometimes theres not.

It gets pretty dry when they flood rice. I thought maybe it had a 'ditch' around the perimeter that would hold the fish during the dry spells, but I launched there a few monthes ago and couldn't find a spot over 3 ft deep. Couldn't find a fish either. I too couldn't figure out where to pay the money, but from what I saw, it wouldn't be worth it anyway. I actually just left $3 under the windshield wiper in case someone came by, but never saw anyone.
