yes sir,the gf needed 300 stockers for our nursery pond.they had just dumped it 3 weeks ago with mostly florida bass and some crappie. the stockers will be held at joe hogans hatchery in lonoke for some time, after being fattened up with minnows they will be brought back to our nursery pond-when it gets enough water in it.well with the nets out just one night they had plenty, kept only white crappie, throwed back blacks.excellant numbers of crappie, healthy and fat lots 1-2lbers.well as ive said before gf knows where to come get the crappie with less effort.it's not gonna hurt us.6500 acres of lake with potentially a million crappie they school up and funnel up thes creek veins to feed for the winter-all winter.you know i hate to see them coming with nets and am glad to see them go but at least this time those crappie will be back larger and in larger numbers.they also fatten those craps once their in the nursery pond, they pour minnows to them.Don at the gf assures me they are focusing on the crappie for the future. i have been weighing at least 1 2+ lber most every day for the past 2 weeks.lots of small crappie being caught along with good keepers and getting better daily. oh yeah i was going to say one net directley out from the ramp produced 100 crappie appear to be steadily moving in!
