Worked the cypress trees in the Duck Blind area on the east side of the lake hard without a bite. The motored up to Gold Creek. 18 teeny tiny crappie, that was it. Several people fishing the creek leading to the pool...same story. Either it needs to get colder or the the crappie fishing a couple of years down the road will be incredible. Several folks were fishing in the pool..same story. Very, very small. But a beautiful day.

Hey J, I was out there last Wednesday and did about the same. Lots of 'tater chips out there right now. I did manage to find one decent slab (about 13") on the bottom just north of the iron bridge. Winded up keeping about a dozen 9-10" fish.

I fished saturday from 10 to about 12:30. I had two good pound and a half fish. 3 other keepers. If I could have been there at daylight it might have been better. Can't count how many small ones i threw back. Had to get the bait down past the littler ones to get to the better sized ones. They are starting to mix into the pool but are scattered out. A good week of cold weather would do wonders.
