Anybody got any information on Greers Ferry they can share on the Crappie there? I do really well drifting big shinner minnows in about 20 feet of water off points and in coves, but this seems to be the only way i can catch them. If you would like to try my way. I use a 10 lb or 12 lb test low vis line, 2/0 blue wire hook, with a pretty big split shot two to three feet above hook, to get and keep the minnow down, hook minnow behind eyes. If i get snagged the wire hook lets me pull free most times but is still strong enough to hold and fight most of what you will catch. I use 4 rods fitted like this tight lined and drift and nudge my trolling motor along until i find fish and when i do i sit on them until the bite turns off. This is a great way to fish Greers because you may also catch a big walleye, smallmouth or striper. Also used this on Ouchita with great success. This gets the biguns for me there. Please let me know what works for you. Thax Crappie Pro
