I didn't even check the water temp even though it was showing on the Humminbird. The fishing is great on Washington thru the winter when the crappie from both ends of the lake congregate in the section of 20 ft water just north of the middle. The jig setup is very simple with a 3/16th oz worm lead going on the line first then just tying on a jighead or RR. Then put the three #5 round splitshot sinkers all touching about 18-24 inches above the jig but behind the worm lead. Only use a round splitshot...do not use the ones with the nibs sticking out that you squeeze to open the shot. Those will cause the jig to twist during trolling. The worm weight just helps with the waterflow over the round sinkers. With me, using multiple hooks just gets tangled, especially with a dip net. Also, tie the jighead with a small loop for play or just use a "no knot" attachment. Hope this helps.
