Went to Lake Washington yesterday morning close to Greenville, MS. The lake was packed with boats. There was one bunch of 15 all within 200 yards of each other trying to stay on top of the shad. Probably more than 40 trolling rigs in all. I managed to catch a bit over 50 but keeping what is shown in the pic. Caught them all on orange roadrunners with either blue/clear or black/clear jigs trolling 4-5 ft deep in 12 fow.

Congrats on the catch. Where is Lake Washington? I won't be able to go until the 1st weekend of Nov.; it won't be crowded by then LOL.
That's a nice limit of crappie Luvpt. Are you spider rigging or just holding a couple of poles, and do you use 1 jig per line or multijig setup. I need to get over to Washington and Lee and try them out. I bought a annual Ms. fishing liscense last spring when I went to Grenada for their spring crappie camp, with full intentions of trying thes lakes and have not made it yet. With you showing limits like that, it might motivate me. Thanks for the report and pictures.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Jerry,
Washington is one of the premier crappie lakes anywhere in my opinion. I fish there with six poles in front: 2-16's, 2-14's, and 2-12 footers rigged with single hooks. I put a worm sinker ahead of three #5 round sinkers positioned about 18-24 inches above the jighead. Yesterday I used RR's with both blue and black jig bodies with clear/glitter tails. I caught crappie both sitting still and running 2 mph and every speed in between at 4-6 ft deep. I also caught a few on the Bobby Garland Electric Chicken rigged on a white RR. I am going to try going back to Washington next Saturday morning but I have to be at a family reunion in Hamburg by 2:00. Hopefully I will have a couple of easy days next week so I can slip out to Lake Monticello and catch some local fish. Then it will be back to single pole and minnow with slipcork. Oh, for those who wanted to know, Lake Washington is about 12 miles South down the MS River from Greenville, MS. Very easy to get to with lots of nice boat ramps.

Great catch! And, I'd say you're right on about it being a premier crappie lake...love those MS oxbows. How's the fishin' out there through the winter?
Hey luvpt what was the water temp.?
Lake Washington is one of my favorite lakes also. I try to hit it a couple times a year.
Do you have a pic of that jig setup?
