Thread: Bass Pro in Arkansas ???

There was an article in the Democrat-Gazette this past Saturday about it. They are supposed to break ground this November. It will be one of the biggest stores. I think it said it would have a 10 acre CRAPPIE pond with free fishing, climbing wall, place to test boats, tank to test scuba gear, and a bunch of other stuff. I think they said it would be three times the size of McCain Mall. Something like 2700 jobs, and an unreal number of parking spaces.

Great news!!!I was concerned I would have to supplement retirement at Walmart. This sounds much better.

I just wonder why in the world "A leader in Conservation" woudl want to build on a site that is a wetland? I mean come on... Lead in Conservation? I think not, a leader in " I want some $$$"

On the other hand, I heard that the contract has been signed for the deal in Memphis at the pyramid with them.

I agree with you. Building on a wetlands site just doesn't seem to fit with their alleged "conservation" image. I imagine there are many people who are looking to make a lot of money out of this deal.

It's hard to believe that this is the best location that they could find to build on. Oh well, some call it progress.

I had this article read to me before and didn't realize what column it was printed in. We'll see how much of it winds up being true.
