Millwood Lake---From what I have been reading and hearing in the area, Millwood I would guess appears to be the Crappie lake that most people visit. I know when they spawn, you can catch your limit very easy if you know where to fish. This spring we caught them in the woods when the lake flooded, about 1 foot of water in the brush and along tree lines, but shallow.
I was told about night fishing that it takes time to create a spot to catch fish. A guide told me to visit the same spot all of the time if it is good habitit and chum the area. It will be your special spot. I am getting my boat sat up for night fishing using car high beam headlights floating on top of the water in a styro-foam ring, may even hang up a couple of lanterns.
My buddy a fishing guide said the key is to attract the bait fish and you can dip up your minnows before you start to fish and keep the area chumed.
