Guppy, I don't think there is a place to fish off the bank at Horseshoe. It is all private land now. If you know how to get to Kamp Karefree at Horseshoe, you can pay to fish off the piers there. Now, if you know how to get to Kamp Karefree, your headed South on what I think is still HWY. 147, where the road comes to a" Y " and instead of going to the left to go to Karefree, bare to the right, follow the road till it comes to another " Y ". You will have just crossed over a bridge. Stay to the right, follow that road until you come to a curve, before the curve you will see 2 or 3 grain bins, some homes on the left of you. There should be a sign that says " ED'S CAMP ". Take a hard right onto a gravel road, it is asphalted some, but will soon turn to gravel. Up the road about a quarter of a mile, there will be small homes on the right hand ,that appear to be the farm workers dwellings. About 1.5 miles down the road the gravel road will come to another " Y ". By now you should be able to have seen the Levee, take a left at the " Y ". Cross a little ditch, go up the levee and wait till you get completly on top,as soon as you get on top, you will see ED'S Camp. If you take a right on top of the levee, Midway Lake is to your left. There are plenty of places to bank fish there. I would go down the levee a ways till you come to the first big opening, I mean where there are no trees, and go down the levee and ride down the roads where no grass has grown because of traffic, till you get to the tree line and you;ll see where people are going into the trees. I like the shade, that is where I go, when and if I fill like bank fishing. I hope this helps. If you feel the need to have to call me my cell number is 870-733-7933 leave a message if i do not answer. I'll be glad to call you back when I recieve it. Rusty

Sorta hard moving to a new city and trying to find good places to fish and all. Love to crappie and bream fish though so I wasnt going to give up until I found some lakes to do some fishing. I live in Memphis, but I certainly dont mind driving some to throw a hook in the water. Maybe Ill see you out there sometimes. Thanks again for the help.![]()
