Just don't stop in water that is shallower than the amount of line you have out. You will get hung. I had 2 out the front yesterday with a 4' leader and about 15' of line out with a 3 oz. sinker and caught a couple on that set up. You can give the slow speed a try but every thing I have caught has been over 1.5MPH.
