    Default Backwater crappie again (pics)

Went back to the river again today, and the weather was great but the fishing was slower. But the ones we caught were better fish and didn't have a lot of throw backs. The gnats were terrible, I wore my headnet but they still tore my a$$ up. Had 13 keepers today, all black crappie again.

    Some scenery pictures.

    12 foot gator.

    Today's catch.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Those are some pretty fishes, Jerry. Don't get to see many of those blacks here in the flat country. That creature from Jurasic Park looks pretty cool, also.

Nice catch, great pictures. Is that Moores Bayou, just guessing by the looks of the gater....thinking about trying M. Point in the morning.

Yes this is Moores bayou, M. Point is still about 10 ft. high but the water looks good. Let us know how you do, I'm anxious to try it too.

My wife and I fished Merrisach yesterday. We brought home 22 that were between 10 and 14 inches and threw back 25 that were under 10. I learned
a good lesson, never hold the big crappie up to show it off. I caught 2 that
weighed almost 2 lbs and was holding one of them up to show my wife, when it flopped out of my hand and back into the water.

What were you thinking, she's seen a crappie before.
