Well guys, started the day with the same ol' trip to Little Rock as I always do. Drop the kids off at daycare and school and turn North. It started raining cats and dogs about 5 miles north of Sheridan on 167 when all of a sudden, I saw an 18 wheeler lock it up, go sideways into the oncoming lane. We finally got stopped in time to see one of the worst wrecks I have ever seen. Tanker truck on it's side, pickup smashed and another "truck of some kind" in the west side ditch. (the 18wheeler that locked it up was blocking my view.) I called 911 and about 5 minutes of talking to them, the calvery showed up. Looking at the truck, I knew there wasn't any survivors. 30 seconds sooner (or 1/2 mile) we would have been right there with em. Turns out it was an 18 yr old girl driving the truck. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. This really puts our lives in perspective.
We noticed while driving in to work on the radio, they were talking about some pretty horrible storms. I got to work and hit the nwa website and started watching the squall line move south/east. After several reports of tornado's around the state, one in particular caught my attention..Grant County around cross roads. I called my wife and we headed home. Luckily (twice in the same day), the tornado missed us. However, 1/2 mile (30 secs) south looks like an atomic bomb went off. I do not think there were any fatalities or injuries, but I am not totally for sure. (There was also another tornado crossed the highway just north of the intersection at ICO. Pretty sure that was the one that hit Henseley)
Even though me and my family lucked out today, I wish I could wake up and start this day over. Maybe it would turn out a little better than this one for ALL parties involved.

KJV Numbers 32:23 " be sure your sin will find you out."
Allen, glad you and your family are alright. It's been a rough day in Arkansas.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

You had someone else riding with you.
i hear that the girl who was killed north of sheridan was a senior going to school to take her last final exam...very sad.
the tornado did cross 167 just north of ico. i live about 5 miles north of there and my sister lives about 1 mile from there so we were lucky.
MOst of us were extremely lucky Friday. Have a couple of guys from work that watched the Greers tornado go right over them 2 minutes after getting off the water.
