Thread: Has anyone been fishing...

Has anyone been fishing Old Town, Peckerwood, or Merrisach recently?
I flew over Merrisach Monday, even though the water was high
the water color didn't look bad.

Fished Old Town 8 days ago and will be back there this weekend. Water was high. Middle of the lake was clear and 66 degrees at the surface. Both the upper and lower end was muddy and 68 degrees. Crappie were slow but the big bream were on fire. I am hoping that the crappie will have picked up. The spillway has been open since I left so maybe the water has dropped some. One thing about it......... I don't know of anything else around there that has not been affected by the rising rivers.

I am heading back to Peckerwood this weekend. Its been three weeks since I've been there. Any news on that lake would be appreciated.

2 weekends ago some buddies of mine cleaned 45. The water was high and muddy and they didn't expect to catch any!!

The water had started a very slow fall, and began to clear up a little this week (Peckerwood really never gets clear) but the rain is falling again right now. Do you know if your buddies could tell if they had laid eggs yet?

Any of you guys fish peckerwood or any of the other lakes this past weekend?

I fished Old Town last weekend. Not much luck. The wind made most of Saturday unfishable though.
