Hey everyone,
I am fairly new here, been reading and learning alot, but I am getting frustrated in my own tactics.
Went today, windy of course, buy I have yet to catch over 2-3 fish per outing.........ever
I was fishing bout 2-3ft deep using minnows (double rigged) and on another pole using jigs double rigged. AND NOTHING except 2 small bass.
Do you guys find it easier to catch more this time of year using single rigged hooks using minnows, single rigged jigs, or what.
I am at a loss of what to do, try next or anything. I am planning on going back this week when maybe the lake is not so busy..........
PLEASE LET ME IN ON THE INFORMATION ON HOW TO CATCH SOME CRAPPIE

Well that does make me feel better. I wish mother nature would straighten up and let things simmer down a bit so we can get some fish on the table
Thanks for the information

I went to Lake Charles this morning and all I could catch was dinks. Probably had a dozen about 6 to 7 inches long.![]()

I haven't done any better down here. I left the boat in the garage today. Erling is full and they are dropping it and it is not producing any bites.
Same thing in Bella Vista. Used everything but the anchor and couldn't catch a thing. I used minnows, crickets, crawlers, jigs, jiggin rapala's, and trolled small crank baits through SCHOOLS of crappies and came home with zero. Swithed to Bass and did o.k. but nothing great. Lost a 6+ at the boat.Hopefully it will get better. Lots of beds with nothing on them. Fished trees in 15+ and fished 60 feet of water @ 15ft. depth no luck. 5 days of fishing, only bass. I found the crappie but nothing interested night or day.
Thanks for the information. Maybe we will all have better luck soon.
