I have 2 Eagle Fishmark320's. 1 in the dash and 1 on the bow, only had 1 problem and Linda Colt had me a new 1 in 2 days, plus she sent me a puck style transducer for free. here is the link

    Outlaw,

Hubby found an Eagle 565 @ Wal-Mart for $129. We found it @ the Bryant Wal-Mart and the Arkadelphia Wal-Mart.

Do you mean a Hummingbird 565? Eagle does not make a 565.

I called Wal Mart. The 525 is $129 and the 565 is $199.

I was about to go and buy all they had.

I Purchased two HB 525s last year. They have everything I need. If my original equipment keeps actingup on my Tracker, it is about to be replaced with one too.

I have that dual beam, and I'm not sure that it's all it's cracked up to be. I have a matrix 17 that has the dual beam (20/60) and used the 60 degree a little bit, but the resolution wasn't that good. The 20 degree has very good definition. darryl morris has the same matrix 17, & when I talked to him, he had sort of the same opinion. I'm sure that there are situations that call for it, but for me, the 20 degree is really ideal for most situations. Some of the higher end hbirds have much better resolution, color, etc. but for basic needs, the 20 degree on a 525, or 535 are hard to beat for the money. I have a 535 on the back of my boat, and I can't tell much of a difference from the hbird matrix 17 that's on the front. The one thing that the matrix has over the 535 is that the temp readout is more precise. that 535 will just say 67 degrees, & the matrix will say 67.7. Some times that is actually helpful if you are looking for subtle temp changes. just my 2 cents.

There's a couple of 565's on ebay right now that might be worth watching.

I have used hummingbird for 40 years great units.

My son bought me a 525 for christmas. I love it . is really clear reading of bottom structure for finding stump and brush piles. Has temp. speed option. 240x240 pix

all the pros are getting away from color and going back to black/white the color is hard to read in the sun and the definition is not as good as b/w.

so for the money the Hummingbird for around $120 is a great unit for the money.
