    Default Conway 3/24

Went yesterday, and it was very slow until about one hour before dark. When they started hitting it was fun. I had 4 poles out and they all started going at one time. Dan pulled up behind me and I had crap flying everywhere trying to work all those poles. I am quite sure that I looked like a nut. Cought about 20, but a lot of them were small. I ended up with about 12 good keepers. All of them were male, and they wer 4 ft deep in 10 ft of water over brush.

Water temp was 58-60 degrees depending on where I was. I figure by the weekend they will be on the banks. The weather is going to be warm this week, and with the water already at this temp, it is going to warm up quick.

Got to meet Hot Dog out there yesterday as well. Nice to put some faces with folks on here.

I am thinking about making a trip to Conway this Thursday. I have never fished there before, I usually fish on Greeson, since it is about 2 miles away.

Do you have any advice on where/how to get started? I will be bringing my boat and should arrive early to mid-afternoon.

    Thanks,
    Shane

I was thinking of doing the same. With a 15mph South wind will I be able to find shelter and fishable water?

hey demoman ill give you some pointers when you arrive here.went out with one of my buddies yesterday evening 1hr before dark.started out tightlining some tops2'-5'.i picked up 1 small keeper and my buddy landed a nice keeper.at and after dark we ended up picking up 12 good keepers and my buddy picked up 1.5lber.the remainder of the fish caught in the grass.really were not biting well.gave up at 11pm.my buddy had caught 15 2 nights before.but that was slow also 5-6 hrs.but the way conditions have been thats very well.iwas satisfied i caught 5 keepeers and 5 throwbacks.one other boat yesterday had caught 8.LR joe was slinging them left and right, pretty busy, good job bud!getting alittle better gonna be tough today with the wind.the fall seems to be slowing down.i think Hot Dog caught a few.
