I am going to Millwood Wed. evening to fish for 3 days. Can anybody give me any current water conditions? The level is holding steady today and I hope start going down, but I wonder is it still muddy?
KJV Numbers 32:23 " be sure your sin will find you out."
Muddy as a paper sack. Crappie are not biting and even if they were, you couldn't find them with dynomite. Lake level is 6.25' above normal and the wind is reakining havock on the NW end of the lake around Bagley slough. I was there all weekend and I went up river to Maguire, Mud Lake, Horshoe, Graveyard slough and a few booger holes I thought might be clear. All terrible muddy. The good news is the catfish are ripping it up in the river channel. Stop and get plenty of night crawlers and liver for some tightlining fun. I caught my limit of 5-10 lb catfish Sunday evening. Find the edge of the river and tie up. Most of the fish are moving up on the shelves of the river bank in about 15 feet. Hold on cause they try to take the rod out of the boat when they hit.
Please be careful with navigation too. There are a tremendous amount of logs and debris coming down the river. Go S>L>O>W>.....
