Default Slow fishing in L.A. (pics)

Had a slow weekend of fishing starting Thursday, but had a great time anyway. I went to the camper at Lake Shore R V park on Lake Chicot for the weekend. I got to meet Heavy Chevy and Tammy this weekend, wish the fishing had been better since I recommended Chicot for them to fish, since the rest of the state was flooded. But the winds were high and the fronts moved through and the fishing was really slow. Hope y'all come back when the fishing is better. The fish were really picky and were 6 to 8 ft deep and holding really tight to structure. Caught them on a chartruese tube on a red jig head.

    Thursdays catch.

Fished with my friend Bobby friday, our catch.

    Saturdays catch.

    And todays catch.

A couple of good ones today.

Hey Jerry it may have been slow where you are but the crappie in the pics look better than what we are catchin. The measuring can would be bigger than the ones we caught lol.

The fishing was slow but we had a great time and it was a pleasure to meet LA and his wife!

One thing for sure we caught a variety of fish on Saturday!

    Will post our results on Drum.com , Catfish.com , Gar.com , White Bass.com and Hybrid.com! :D

Did manage a short crappie or 2.

Was a fun trip and we will be headed back down that way soon when the weather settles down some!

What did the Lake look like? Good an muddy or did you guys get all the rain down that way that our friends up in NWA did? How high does the mississippi need to get before getting into Chicot? (Heading down and fishing Thursday)

The lake is in good shape and Connerly bayou is starting to clear up, should be good by Thur. The Mississippi don't get into Chicot, unless it comes over the big levee, and we'll all be in trouble then. Fishing should be good if the weather will cooperate. We didn't get much rain at all when the rest of the state was flooded, I think we had .15 in. at Chicot. Good luck Thursday and post a report.

The lake actually looked pretty good it was just pretty much impossible to fish with the ocean like waves unless you were in a much bigger boat than what I had!
