Default Some spring crappie in L.A. (pics)

Had some days off and stayed at my camper at Lake Chicot, fished Wed thru Sunday. Caught a lot of fish and kept some nice ones, they're getting ready to spawn. Wed, thur and friday caught most on rosies, shallow about 18in. Sat. and Sun. they move out a little and fished 4 to 6 ft. with jigs. Water temp today was 63 degrees when I left the water.

    Wednesday's catch.

My friend Bobby fished with me Thur. and Fri., our catch for both days.

Bobby with a couple of good ones.

A friend, Bill with 3 nice ones, fishing in the same area.

    Saturday' catch.

    A couple of good ones.

Sundays catch, notice the dark males.

A couple of nice ones from today.

Hope to get back down there sometimes next week, sure was fun catching these.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Connerly is very muddy, and with the heavy rains coming tommorow it will probably get worse.

that looks an awful lot like the fish cleaning station at the lakeshore rv park. that is where we have been staying down there for years. have you been catching more in the lake or the bayou? most people i have talked to have not been catching many down there so you did really well.
