What do you guys think of using 4 inch PVC about 6 feet long with caps on the ends and putting 1 inch pvc thur to make limbs and put concrete in the bottom part to sink it and hold it upright I heard if you sand the Pvc that it will let alge grow on it , It should last a long time . I would like you pros feed back on this idea . Good or stuiped ?

It should work use what ever you have on hand pvc is getting high now. You may find some at a plummer supply house that has been damaged.

    Welcome Garrfish.

I took a 10ft stock of 4" drilled it and put 10ft stick of 3/4 thru it. And some boo. You can lay it down by puttin a block on each end or put a block or two on one end and it will stand up. No need in caps on the end. PVC sinks easy. Just cost a lot to make a lot.

My father-in-law and I have made several just like that. We ended up filling the bottom with about 1' of crete, let it dry, then added a bunch of dog food. Drilled some extra holes for access to the bait.
    I think I got one...

Heard yesterday to take sandpaper and rough up the PCV, otherwise you will be 1 1/2 years before anything will stick to it.

    Made sense to me.

Ive got about 50 of them just like you described. They work awesome.I put three of them under my neighbors boat at the lake and last Labor Day they caught 168 crappie off those three condos, when no one else on the dock were catching squat.Easy to fish a jig through great for the kids and theyre hard to see on a graph.

Do you really have to sand the pvc? Were setting some next week and had no plans to do this. I might be more busy than I thought next week..
