I have never caught a freshwater drum till today. It hit a shineee hineee! They put up a fight! My buddy Jay kept it and plans on eating it. Crappie fishing has been tough on beaver with the high and muddy water. I'm going to go downstream to clearer water tomorrow.

Stinkies Daddy
There are some neat stones in it's head that make cool necklace items. Right between his eyes & pretty deep about an inch or two back. There will be two of them. They are really calcium but the drum rubs them together and makes a vibration. That is what you hear at night while sitting in the river. Really cool conversation pieces too.
"Put em in the pre-skillet box"
My granddaddy use to eatem. Says their good right out of grease, once they cool off kind of like eatin a big ball of cotton just gets bigger N bigger. I say they probably better thrown up on the bank for the coons & possums.
Don't rip er mouth,

ummmm, you guys can have all the goo's ya'll want. Too many crappie in this world for me to eat an ol' goo.
Looks like cut bait for those slow crappie timesBet the fight was a god one though.
Hey Jason, drum ain't too bad. Fillet it and parboil it in old bays seasoning. Chill it and use it in any crab salad recipe. Won't tell a difference.
