    Default Conway 3-9


    Well it was a cold start on Conway this morning. I believe Gooch and Chris were just on their way out just as I got set up. I believe I saw them on the west end of the pool as I was setting up on the north end. The fish seemed to hit alright when I first set up, but then they tinkered out until around 3. I must have had a good spot because 5 kids set up on the bank right in front of me and started casting in all directions around my boat. This one guy started the trend and the others followed suit. Wasn't that big of a deal since I was getting ready to leave anyway, but kind of irritating seeing as how I had been fishing this spot for a while and where I had been casting was now cut off. Oh well, such is life. Ended the day with 14, with a couple of nice slabs. The white and yellow bass started hitting as the day progressed. I think I ended up catching close to 20 of those. Man are they fun on a 9 foot crappie rod. Anyway, the day ened up real nice. But did have a repeat from one of the last trips I was there. Somebody with a bass boat and a big ol' engine started it up and roared out of there washing some little boats up. Geez! I passed these two guys fishing right around the bend from the bridge in the neighborhood and they were washed up by this guy.

    Was that you in the one man boat? Wish you would have stopped by to holler at us. Would have been glad to donate our small mess to you.

    We had some dudes come in on us this morning as well. It looks like thats starting to be the trend out in the pool. They were fishing a float and fly and catching some fish shallow.

    way to go sportsman-had some nice fish,saw 1 good catch this morning 2 guys had 17.another had 6,another had 10.a slow and tough day 10 boats had hardly any luck.this afternoon saw one boat with 7,sportsman's and J.... had 15,caught most of his right before dark,and caught shallow.at least 10 others left and i dont know.although i heard about a few others caught some.red and chartruese producing.none were being picked up deep that i know of.warmer weather this week ought to help.some people have some nerve,a few locals are doing thir best to be irritable.need to make Gooch the pool police!!!im going to be fishing this week im going to keep an eye out!might have to run over some lines.

    Hey Gooch, I was actually in a 16 ft PolarKraft boat. It's all olive drab green, even the engine. I think you two were the only ones spider riggin' yesterday. Dan had told me that you two were out there but I didn't want to mess up your all's fishing. Next time I'll be sure to say hello. :D
