Someone needs to start a crappie channel. Crap, we have channels now that are just for watching people fix up houses, dogs, and I even saw one the other night that was called the housewife network.

I saw most of it. It was on talkin outdoors. I've read where people have said that Barnett isn't any good for crappie but it looked like they were doing pretty good in farily tough conditions fishing jigs around stumps and standing timber.

Me and Miss Tam fished Barnett yesterday for a couple of hours.... it looked really good but not the first bump.... Water temp was 44......talked to a bunch of folks and none had caught a fish....

Went back home and caught 20 in under an hour.... go figure.

The other day when I went fishing with Jerry, he said that the Bob Robbinson show fishin for crappie with Jerry was the most watched and requested Bob Robbinson show.

I think you are right. I tryied to get Jerry to do a show and he said it was no fun. You would think we could get somethime like that done with Tommy Sanders and that crew from ESPN outdoors right here in Little Rock.

    Default Jeff Smith

I know Jeff Smith, of Leland's Lures, personally. His crappie magnets are a solid body jig that I have had a lot of luck with crappie fishing. They are weighted so they fall horizontally. They have only been on the market for a couple of years. You can buy them at Walmart or on his website. Checkout his website for more information, http://lelandslures.com/. He also makes a lure called the Trout Magnet. It is bad to the bone for trout. I have been with him several times on the Little Red River and caught over 100 trout per person. Another plus of leland's lures is that it is based out of Searcy, AR.
