Its a non formal gathering of some guys and gals from Crappie.com. We just get together and fish then cook out. Its a great way to meet folks from the board and pick up tricks, tips and boat set ups of other crappie fisherman.

Sure do hope you try and make it even if you dont have a boat. We always have a number of non boaters join us and they just jump in with some of the folks that did bring boats.

No can do that weekend after checking the calander. Got to be in TX for the Bluebonnetbrewoff (Homebrewing Competition). But I have been a little courious about Lake Conway, only ~30 minutes from the house, and looks good from 40

From what I am told, they usually need all the help they can get during the Friday judging. I am going to help out, if needed, if not, I will just have to trade samples with other hombrewers.

I judged a home brew contest one time back in the day. I did so well that I got to poor the water at a wet T shirt contest afterwards. I don't remember a whole lot about it. They say it was a good show. I think the brew made me harmless
