My neighbor was down at Peckerwood all weekend and also said the pole fisherman didnt do sqaut but the yoyo's produced a few fish for him. Think he put up 5 bags of crappie and 8 of catfish.

Is there a place to set up a small camper around Peckerwood anywhere?

If you can find a spot open. Herman's Landing or Red Barn both have camp sites with electricity. Not sure the cost per night

I fished Peckerwood Friday, Sat and Sun. We pole fished during the day Fri and Sat. Caught 1 Drum out of 2 days of pole fishing. MAN, that was slow. Hung Yo-Yo's at night and caught cats and a few crappie. Cleaned somewhere around 50 fish. Probably half and half catfish and crappie. Most of the Crappie were good size (1 -2 lbs.)

I don't think that they have moved to the brush yet, but couldn't find them in the deeper water either. This cold spell should hold them off for another couple of weeks. Hopefully I will be able to get back down there soon and give a report.

Also, I believe that it is $30 a night on weekends at both Herman's and Red Barn IF you can get a spot. Hope this helps!
