Thread: Fish and Eat results

i want to thank everyone that did make it out,sure enjoyed meeting new folks,especially good people that share the passion for the crappie!a special thanks out to Flyfinger for the condo,with Lrjoe1 christmas tree it will be a fine start for crappie.com condos.im sure you all will be picking off fish later.well we cant make the fish bite but we can sure try!Lrjoe1 did the best with 5 fish,Ceb with 4.DP with 4 i think.i should have got a picture with gooch and his 1 fish!good goings Bobberwatcher and for anyone else that put a fish in the boat for such a tough day!Better days ahead!March ought to be excellant-we can do it again!we had 13 members with 4 guest,at least 3 others that visited or just fished.personal reports from other lakes were dead slow also.old timer fred fished saturday afternoon here and got skunked-he stated 1st time for him. (i also have to tweek the air damper in that big grill i just aquired,that was the first time i cooked on it)

Sounds like everyone had a great time. Wished I could have come down Saturday to meet everyone and do some fishing.

I will sure try to be at the next get-together......So yall get us a date set for the next one.:D

I think I am the one that went home with honors. I kept two, JRB gave me the one he caught, BobberWatcher gave me 3, and Gooch donated his catch of the day. My math tells me that is 7....or, was I supposed to catch them all?

I had a blast though. It has been a long time since I had my line stretched. At the end of the day, I reverted back to what I know best and kept snagging shad about 1lbs each. I made JRB get the net on the 1st one (not knowing what it was until I could see it). A couple more made me stand up.

You need to open up a day care and start keeping kids. I think I could get out more often then. You did a great job this weekend.

Glad ya'll had a good time over the weekend. I hated to miss the get to gether but i'm still trying to get the yard cleaned up after the ice storm we had in Dec. I've cut and burnt over two semi loads of brush and still have atleast one more to go. mabey i'll have it done in time to make the next one. whens the date and where ?

You were there in spirit. Had to tow ole CEB out to the hole this time. Sure did think about you and the short boat.

I would suggest you get that 6'5" beast thats eating you out of house and home on the limb clean up.

lmao gooch he's been helping me a bunch literally working his butt off. But he still can't keep up with dad lol.

Had a great time last weekend. Wish the crappie would have been a little more cooperative, but that's not the big reason that we were there. Gooch gave a little speech (if you could call it that) about these get-togethers. So if anybody wants to step up and get something organized, the torch is yours. The interest is already there and still building. We all have a great time, and that's exactly what Gooch and I intended when we had the first one on Conway last year. Again, I had a great time this weekend, and I know that I'll be seeing some of y'all out on the water soon. Sure can't wait 'till we do this again...

Sorry for taking so long to get the pics posted...it's already been a long week. We didn't get too many pics...can't believe I didn't get a pic of Kent doing the crab dance under the bridge.:D If the dam evilrude wasn't trying to fall apart on me, I would've come back out there to the pool and got everyone's pic after lunch. Next time we need to be sure to get a group pic and some fish pics.
