Use the trolling motor to constantly control and position your boat and push or pull your baits into position around the brushpile/crappie condo based on what you see on your sonar. Jerry calls it the dining room. Use your gps to get you on the spot and marker bouys if needed as a reference to the exact location of the cover. Watch your sonar to determine the location of fish and how deep the crappie are holding. Work that spot thoroughly. When done, gun to another. Have a portfolio of spots and even if you only get one or two per spot by the end of the day you have a nice mess of crappie. The keys are using your electronics effectively and boat control.
