Gold Creek? Is that on Conway where I can't get my boat in? If so, I can be a non-boater if I don't have a paying trip that day.

Yeah, it sounds like the same place. I could launch my boat no problem but could not get my center console bay boat under the walking bridge at this one cove where all the house were. If my cuz (grubby) comes I could bring my other boat though and we can fish together. Sounds like great fun if I'm not working. Might give me another change to yell, "FISH ON" (ya'll know that's going to be my trademark, lol).

    Hey Buddy
It is the same place. But, you proved how far you could cast in Cane Creek. I bet you could cast over that bridge and to the other side of the pool if you see some one else catch a fish.
If I make it, I will have a spot for you or anyone else.

Default I want to learn to Crappie fish!!!!!

If the meeting is on the 23rd I will be there.

I am very new to all of this and have no tackle to speak of. I do have a few trout rods from the untrained eye they look the same. I have a couple of collapsible poles, the fiberglass type that one section slides into each other for storage, I think they are 12 ft. I do not have much artificial bait, what is best to use during this time of year. I do have some jigs. What do I need to bring to fish with? I have a 1648 aluminum boat with a 25 hp motor on back, I use it to duck hunt with. It is bare bones with one seat on back pod for me to drive with. It has the two back pods and smaller front deck nothing in middle. The front deck has hole for pedestal and seat but I do not have one. It has no trolling motor or electronics yet, do I need to bring it? It was in good running order last weekend.

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to learn to Crappie fish. So I plan to start on the 23rd.

Looking forward to trip, any advice would be appreciated.

Now there is one fine new years resolution.

If your boats not set up for crappie fishing yet I would just jump in with one of us. It will be a great opportunity to see and fish from many different boat set ups which should give you all the ideas you need to set yours up.

Go ahead and put you some fresh line on em and bring your poles on out. Crappie dont seem to picky about the poles there caught with like green carp. If the fish are hitting jigs Danno will have some in the bait shop along with hooks weights and slip bobbers.

Look forward to seeing you on the 23
