I guess I have to take responsability for the wind. It always blows when I rig for spider rigging. I was out there right at daybreak and started doing my usual; casting jigs with a couple of lines out with minnows. I didn't get one bite that way. So I rigged four poles for spider rigging. I had jigs on the bottom with minnows tied about a foot above. I caught two in about 3 minuets from the same jig. I was enthused but, on my second pass through, the wind started blowing and I never got another bite. There was no way I was going to hold my nose in the wind. So, I anchored again. It didn't take me long to realize I was dragging both of my anchors across the pond. That was enough.
