Cris sounds like you had a good time. I guess you were able to use more that 4 rods there unlike CC.

Hey Jerry, I was using just my regular rig with the egg sinker above the jig. But, it was only because I hadn't planned on them being out of the brush and hittin' jigs. I like those rigs...but don't ever want to try tying it out on the lake. But I will be sure to have some poles rigged up with the 4-jig rig before next weekend...

And I had a pretty good time out there, Slick. It almost got to be too much like work gettin' into 'em with all the poles out...:D

Hey ceb---was that you at Burnt Cane this past Saturday? Can't really tell from your pic, but I did see someone resembling the pic in a boat by themself. I was almost at the end and you (he) went on to the end---about 2:00 or so. Two of us caught 15 nice ones, but it was pretty slow. We were fishing snags.

Nah, it wasn't me on Saturday. But I sure wish that it would've been me. I couldn't go on Saturday, so I had to brave the wind on Sunday morning. The wind was blowin' right down the pipe of where I had been catching 'em. I guess I had about 10 crappie at noon. Had to be in by 1pm, so I decided to head back up the lake and try a new spot for me. Caught two crappie really quick and then my trolling motor battery started to die and I didn't have any more time to fish, so I headed back on in. I guess that I should've gotten out of the wind and went to that new spot earlier in the morning. I did find out one more thing...my trolling motor battery will only last about 4 hours in 35mph gusts...
