Default Cane Creek break from yardwork....Pics

I worked in the yard all day Saturday, and was trying to finish up this morning when it started raining about 11am. Thank goodness for small favors. Headed to Cane Creek a little after 12 and was fishing by 1pm. Didn't get a bite until 2 and then caught 5 as fast as I could get them in and rebait and get back in the water. They were all big, all looked alike. Then they quit, I fished there for about another 30 min. with no luck. Move to another spot and caught the big one for the day 2lb. 8oz. Just had 6 crappie but the best average I've ever had. Six fish weighed 12lb 11oz. Only had 1 under 2lb and it was 1lb 15oz.

A pic of todays catch, the board they are on is 32 1/4 in. wide.

    The 2-8 and a 2-2.

When I got on the lake it was just me and Willie there, 2 more came before I left.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

    jerry,
I was wondering if anyone was gonna give a cc report. I decided to stay home this weekend, went fishing here at home. I did ok, just caught 4 keepers out of about 12 fish today on jigs (green/chart). no rain here, but the fish were on scattered thin brush away from the bank. I wound up releasing them for another day, the keepers weren't anywhere close to those 6. I may need to get back there next weekend sometime. I guess you & willie were doing the pop-pop- pause? I know willie wasn't using minnows, huh? Great job!

Hey Randy, we were both using rosie reds under a cork about 6 ft deep. Willie had tried the jig earlier with no luck.
