Crappie are starting to bite pretty regular at Conway. I went yesterday for about 2 hours and did well on both minnows and jigs about 2 1/2 - 3 ft around the pad stalks next to the channels. The only problem with minnows was the yellow bass tend to hit them more than the crappie. I used a red/white/chart skirt jig with 1/16th ounce orange head.

yes the crappie are moving into the pads and grass.showing improvement! and yes danamax jigs still work.

hey thanks for the intro,DP.Yes it is same ole dan at GC.here's one fresh off the grille,as of 1pm sun.1 mess of 8 good fillet ers',2cnd mess 12-2 at 1.25 lb rest good keepers. another had 7. as i said slow but steadily improving.now thats the report from the die hards,a handfull of ametures were lucky to get 4 or so.you do the math. i'll keep up the reports.thanks
I have heard that Conway is good in dec! any truth to this?
