Default Good day on the water

A friend from work and his grandson met me at Cane Creek today. It was slow all morning, but picked up about 12:30. Tried a new kind of fishing for me, a shiner under a cork. We did pretty good, caught a lot of throw backs, but ended up with 19 good crappie. The 19 weighed 25lb 2oz. I had a good time with good friends.

Joe's grandson, CJ with a couple of gooduns.

    Our catch for the day.

Looking forward to next weekend with y'all.

Way to go, Jerry! Sounds like the size is still running good. But, that just burns my rear cuz I can't get me any CC this weekend. I'll be stuck in LR, so I guess they'll just have to wait on me till next weekend...

Good luck to everyone headed out there this weekend.

    jerry,

great pics of fish. I'll be there early with bells on. I had to clean out my boat from the mud at greeson 3 weeks ago. that low water on greeson got my boat muddy from gettin in & out. I got my poles rigged up to do my best CEB impersonation. I'm gonna try to spider rig for a while, but I've also got my spinning rig set up with a slip cork, & I've also got a jig pole rigged with a hair jig to probe the timber. I also got a 1/2 pound of rosies today, had some shiners left over, & I'll be bringing them in my fish cooler that I've got rigged up like bobberwatcher. I hope to bring a few of those slabs like you did today. We'll see. See you in the morning.
