Sounds really good to me. Guiding all the time doesn't necessarily mean I get to fish. I'd love to come there and get the lay of the land from you and Jerry and just go and have fun. When you set a date let me know. If I'm not working on that day, I'm there with bells on.Originally Posted by ceb

Darryl,
Cane Creek lake is about 5 miles east of Star City. Take I 530 to pine bluff, go bypass to 65, & take 425 south to star city. once in star city, you will turn east on 293 almost out of town. Cane Creek is 5 miles outside of town. I tried to insert a map of it from google maps, but couldn't get it to work.

Hey Randy, your ride from England wouldn't be to bad. Its 38 +/- miles from my house in the city limits of Altheimer. They put in a newer road from the new road over the river at Shepards Island. It cuts out all of going through Pine Bluff, and the papermill traffic on their log yard road if you went that way. 60 or 70 minutes for you I would bet. I do know what you mean about the travel, I get my feelings hurt if I have to drive more than 20 minutes to hunt or fish. Jim.

Nice fish! What are the limits down there? Size and quanity?
You may want to keep that fishery a secret! haha

JT,
the size limit is a 10" minimum on fish harvest, & 15 per person per day. It is more restrictive than the rest of the "crappie zone, which is 30 per person per day.
Hey Darrell I hope you get to come down, I know you'll have a good time. We'll put you on the fish. Those big black crappie are sure fun to catch, and frying them up on the lake is hard to beat.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.
Jerry
Amen!! Can I get a witness??!!
