    Default Tournement 10/20

Fished the crappie tournement at Hickory Creek on Lake Beaver yesterday with Stinky's Daddy (Jack). Fishing was tough, winds were blowing about 25 mph. We did manage to finish 3rd with 4.89 pounds. No big fish were caught by anyone, the winning weight was 6.0 pounds. We did have fun and I learned a lot. In fact I have learned so much from these two tournements, that I think fishing Bull Shoals will be a little eaiser. Thanks to Jack for putting up with me all day with my bad back. The next tournement is November 24 I think. Not sure if I can make that one or not, but would like too. Its not too cold in November to fish, in fact I don't think I'll ever be as cold as that night stalk at Lake Conway eariler this year. Remember that guys? Thanks again everyone. Tight lines.

My customer and I should have entered! We only fished 4 hours. It was slow for us as well but we wacked them at one hole! We ended up with 20. I estimated our bigest seven at around 7 pounds or so. I will probably get to fish next months tournament. I'm glad to hear your having a good time FF. Hopefully we will get to meet soon at one of these events or when we sink brush!

I think you're right Jack, but the scales don't weigh that high, that big guy just wouldn't fit. LOL

I do hope to make it to the spring crappie camp at Beaver, if I can I plan to bring my fly tying stuff and teach a class on tying jigs.

Ohh, yeah buddy, I remember very well. We couldn't catch any fish because our hands were shaking the bait off the hook! Good times though :D

I remember...and we are suposed to be grown responsable adults. I was telling somebody about that night just the other day. I was holding my anchor off of the bottom while repositioning and when I let go, my glove was froze to the rope and was pulled off of my hand when I let go.
