Default Looking for crawdads and minnows

I`m heading to Kirby,AR the 3rd week of October. Looking for minnows and crawdads. Just wanted to find a bait shop close to this area. Any help would be helpful. This will be are 3rd time in this area but I can`t recall any bait shops. The place were staying (Self creek) at has minnows but their a little pricey. I`m sure theirs some bait shops close by if I only knew were thanks!!!!!

I just googled it and found Lakeside Grocery Motel & Bait in Kirby. Don't know if that's the place you mentioned or not. If you happen to be coming from *east of Kirby on 270, stop in the Twin Creeks bait shop between Joplin and Mt. Ida. They have minnows and crawdads.

In addition to Lakeside, bait is also sold at both Self Creek and Kirby Landing Marinas and the Salem Quikstop. They all should have minnows. As for the crawfish, your best bet will most likely be Mt. Ida. They are worth their weight in gold right now. Due to the warm weather and water temps, be very careful with you bait. If you don't shock them with fast water temp changes or lack of oxygen they should last well for you. However, any stress will kill them quickly. Be prepared to slowly cool the water down with ice. The lake temp is still at 80 degrees.
