    Default Oct. 1 Blues

I have some wonderful pictures of some nice bucks and I'm getting the blues because I have to wait another week. So I decided I'd go fishing to try to cure these blues and fill the freezer. I brought home 20 and released a bunch. The bite was really light.[IMG][/IMG].

Man, that would give me the blues too. I haven't broke down and bought a cam yet, so I don't know what's out there, But our Bow season opens on October 1 and I think I am gonna give it a shot after work.
Really nice bucks, we aint got nothing like that here. And some nice fish too.

Those bucks look nice , but look young. A couple more years they possiably could be some real wall hangers! Glad someone is getting a few fish. I saw a few descent fish today that was supposed to have been caught at Holla Bend Refudge yesterday. I just might have to try my luck. Thanks for posting some great pictures.

TJ, yep went to washburn and started on the condos and caught a bunch there but not many of any size. Went up to the bridge didn't do any good there trolled back to the bend to the north-west and there they were. As the sun got higher they moved to the north side of the bridge under the shade. They were 7 to 9 foot deep on the edge of the drop off from 10 to 13 foot of water. started around 730 a.m. to 1030 a.m. they started to slow down. But the screen was plum full of fish. The buck I figure is 15 inches ear to ear and add a couple to either side and it should be around 19 inches. One friend said probably 20 or so. I had a nice 9 point last year well that said it had. To the north and northwest of the place I'm hunting is a couple of small hunting clubs. I have pictures of 3 nine pointers and at least 4 or 5 eight pointers. The deer don't pose very good for my camera all the time, just the big boys. Ha.

The only days I have off are mon., tues., weds., and every other sun. If I'm not working. Yeah, we will have to hook up.
