Way to go, Jerry. It seems as though it's been forever since I have seen some of those cane creek crappie. I was almost there with you Sun morning. I woke up before dawn....but looked outside and decided to catch up on some much needed sleep.

With the cool nights, I hope that the crappie get started soon. I did hear word last week at the local baitshop that some folks were catching some biguns just to the west of beaver pond. The area where the standing timber turns to stumps. May be worth a shot. I also heard that they were catchin' a few at Grady cut-off (anyone heard of it?) Either way, I will be CC this coming Sat morning...and more than likely, Sun morning as well. Hope to see you out there, Jerry.

    Default Grady cut off

I have always heard that this is what folks south of the river call what people north of the river call Little Bayou Meto park. The access on the north side is an abandoned COE park. It might get mowed once a year and I am not real sure the COE is the one doing the mowing. Go to the left, past the houses on the high ground, pilings and tops on the left bank as your headed for the river. Jim.
