It is a decent crappie lake, It used to be excellent until a few show boaters and attention hungry individuals, decided to publicize their every move, now it is flooded with boats and many of them are rude, inconsiderate individuals, I have had my line run over there, I have had people cast right into my boat, I had a 14' crappie rod broken when a guy actually run into it with me telling him he was fixing to hit it. I have had people throw anchors out right next to me, I have had my boat run in to by other individuals not paying attention or just trying to catch a fish because you caught a fish, yes if you catch a fish and someone sees it, they start moving in on top of where you are fishing. The issue there is getting bad, and the Owner of Gold creek landing, has realized at $5 dollars a boat she is making a fortune, she has the ability to control some of it, but chooses the almighty dollar over crowd control. Over publicizing a fishing lake or fishing spot for personal gain, and notoriety, and personal gratification has bad consequences as well. Social media will be the death of certain fishing lakes, Individuals such as Cole and Jay will only speed up the process. The natural resource is being exploited for personal financial gain, when this happens protecting the Natural resources no longer have any priority.
