We went out of the Orange beach and Gulf Shores Alabama area at a place called Zeke's Landing. I enjoyed catching and eating the snapper, I just thought we would have caught a few other species of fish like polebender.

That there is some nice fish too. I have never been "deep sea" fishing, but one of these days we will make it out there. Until then I will have to settle for the big reds and black drum just off the coast of Cameron.
You can't fish with a hung line!

Well going out of Orange is a little different...I know if you dont take a overnight from there you dont get into the big grouper or Tuna or dolphin. It takes so long to get into the deep water there. Thats what we usually catch going out of orange is snapper a few trigger, amberjack, and Kings. I've never been on a overnight but I want to go sometime....

Those reds were huge! II guess in Florida they have the slot and everything over 28 goes back, and ours was 26.....I guess in LA it's one red over slot per boat?

We are allowed 5 over 16" with 1 being 27" or bigger, same thing with the black drum.
The red in the pic was 39" long and 27 pounds.
