Thread: back at work

It has been a couple of hectkick weekends. I got my nephew married in Houston last weekend then returned to work a couple of days then headed out to Ouachita for our annual family camping trip last Thursday.
I was a little disappointed in the condos I put out a couple of months ago. Out of the three, I could only see fish on one of them and they were buried deep in the boo and would not come out for my minners. I wanted to drop a jig in there, but the company I had was not very experienced, so I let them be for another trip.
We manged to catch a few post spawn daddy bream casting black roostertails in 10 to 3 foot of water. One of the girlfreinds caught them on a hot pink one. I learned something new; never dreamed it would work. Someone gave it to me as a joke since girls and sissys like pink.
For the first time I had critters on an island. When we landed on the first trip, a couple of deer made their exit. We had coons for a couple of nights.
Looks like I need three boats now. The 24' toon and the panfisher still was not big enough to get all of the stuff and people out there on the island in two trips. One trip was almost complete with the toys and playpens required for the two little ones that went this year. It was great having them and playing with them. It makes me want to whip their parents A_ _ for choosing dope and alcohol over them.
